This accessibility statement is based on an evaluation of the website altemusik.at, which was carried out by MASSIVE ART WebServices GmbH on behalf of Innsbruck Festival of Early Music GmbH. The evaluation was conducted on 21 May 2025 in accordance with the requirements of WCAG 2.2 at the AA level of compliance.
The website altemusik.at is currently not fully accessible. Of the 55 WCAG 2.2 AA criteria checked, 21 were met, 23 were not met, and 11 were not applicable. Some content and functions are therefore not fully accessible to users with disabilities.
Not all images, graphics and icons have descriptive text alternatives or are correctly labelled as purely decorative images.
Embedded videos are not consistently provided with subtitles or audio descriptions, and some relevant visual information is not described.
Structural information (heading hierarchy, lists, tables) is not fully recognisable by a screen reader.
Content in the programme overview is not arranged in a logical order for screen readers.
Colour contrasts for interactive and non-interactive elements (e.g. link texts, breadcrumb navigation, input fields) are sometimes insufficient.
Main navigation, accordion menus, calendar functions, drop-down menus, form elements and other controls are not fully operable with the keyboard.
The header slider on the home page cannot be paused or stopped.
The website is not fully usable on small devices (320x568 px) (e.g. cookie banner, navigation, contact information, iFrames).
Input fields in forms do not have automatic input type detection (autocomplete).
Missing visible keyboard focus on link cards and banner links.
The start page does not have a corresponding language attribute.
There are missing or insufficient error messages in forms that indicate input barriers.
Some interactive elements do not have a clearly recognisable and self-explanatory purpose and are not recognisable as such purely by their colour and shape.
ARIA attributes are missing for the search field button, cookie message, mobile navigation points and control elements of the header slider.
Third-party content, such as the embedded iFrame of the VVT timetable information (https://www.altemusik.at/de/ihr-besuch/anreise) and the audio player on impression detail pages (e.g. https:// www.altemusik.at/de/festwochen/impressionen/akustische-impressionen/2024/polifemo-1) is outside our immediate sphere of influence. A complete evaluation of this content according to the WCAG criteria is therefore only possible to a limited extent, as provided for in the European standard EN 301 549.
We are aware of the barriers and plan to remove them promptly as part of an upcoming website relaunch next year. The aim is to significantly improve accessibility in order to ensure unrestricted use for all people, especially those with disabilities.
The PDF documents provided on the website are currently not accessible. This means that they can only be processed to a limited extent or not at all by assistive technologies such as screen readers. We are working to improve the accessibility of the documents and aim to provide accessible PDF files in the future in order to further increase accessibility for all users.
