The Curious Bards. The name of the ensemble says it all. This French troupe explore and play Baroque music from Ireland and Scotland with great curiosity. And just as the bards used to travel from castle to castle to share their stories and legends at princely courts with songs and dances, the Curious Bards now travel from festival to festival to entertain people with these exciting stories in the form of airs, songs, strathspeys, reels, country dances and jigs. "By Moonlight on the Green" is the promising title of the concert that the Curious Bards will give in Innsbruck. The stories will be "told" by the Greek singer Ilektra Platiopoulou, who studied at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under Andreas Scholl.
