2022 marks the 400th anniversary of the birth of Matthew Locke, one of the greatest English composers of the 17th century before he had to cede this title to his pupil Henry Purcell. To mark this occasion, the British viol consort Fretwork, as outstanding as it is rich in tradition, will bring the music of the jubilarian with them from the Thames to the Inn. In combination with Locke’s epoch-making «Consort of Fower Parts», the ensemble will perform a selection of Purcell’s Fantazias as well as compositions by William Young.
