A violin is a wonderful living entity that breathes, capable of producing beautiful tones and transmitting its vibrations to its surroundings. But how does a violin come into existence? From master violin maker Claudia Unterkofler, one learns about the birth of a scroll, the choice of wood for violins, and the thickness of the instrument's base. The process of construction is demonstrated, and in the end, young visitors can even handle planes, chisels, and other tools themselves. One thing is already clear: violins must be handled gently.
