Aliza Vicente Aranda
The violinist, born in Navarre (Spain), completed her Bachelor’s degree on a scholarship at Trinity College, London, studying under John Crawford and Walter Reiter. She then went on to complete her Master’s in Performance at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She recently completed a further Master’s in Historical Performance at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the supervision of Leila Schayegh.
Aliza was a member of EUBO (European Union Baroque Orchestra), EUYO (European Union Youth Orchestra), JONDE (National Youth Orchestra of Spain) and of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Experience Scheme with whom she collaborates professionally. She performs regularly with the Freiburger Barockorchester, La Cetra Barockorchester Basel and J.S. Bach Stiftung St. Gallen.
She won the second prize at the International Berlin Bach Competition with the group Cardinal Complex Quartet and she has released different CDs.
She is the artistic director and concertmaster of the historically informed group Chiave d'Arco.
