Attilio Cremonesi
Attilio Cremonesi studied piano, organ and organ composition at the G. Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza; he has participated in national and international organ competitions and has won several prizes.
From an early age he became interested in musical philology, deepening the study of performance practice on original instruments at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, while at the same time studying orchestral conducting.
As a soloist and chamber musician he has performed in some of the most important festivals and theaters in Europe, North and South America, Japan, North Africa and Australia.
In 1988, with the flutist Christoph Ehrsam he founded the instrumental ensemble “Arcadia”, with which he performed in various countries of Europe and South America and recorded numerous CDs of unpublished instrumental and vocal chamber music.
Thanks to a multi-year collaboration with René Jacobs as a musical assistant, opera becomes the center of his musical interests. Since then he has directed opera productions and concerts in important theaters and halls.
