Consort Musica Vera
The Consort Musica Vera was founded in 2017 at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM). Specialising in the performance of early music, the Consort explores the European repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, with a particular focus on spatial arrangements. As such, the Consort regularly brings together up to 60 musicians, depending on the programmes being performed.
The programmes are designed around specific themes, such as a particular city, a religious festival, the life of a composer or a politician, or a unique musical arrangement – for example, the seating arrangement of musicians at Salzburg Cathedral or the coronation of a prince.
