Ensemble colorparte

The ensemble colorparte brings together soprano Katharina Wegscheider, Baroque cellist Hannah Pichler and harpsichordist Daniel Freistetter.
Their artistic work focuses on the music of the 17th and 18th centuries and historical performance practice. The ensemble’s name says it all: through a deliberate interplay of timbres, emotions and text, they create a vibrant interpretation that brings the music’s rich expressiveness to life in all its facets.

The three musicians are united by many years of musical collaboration in a wide variety of ensembles and projects. In the short time since the ensemble colorparte was founded, they have already given performances throughout Austria. A particular focus is on rediscovering the music of the Viennese Imperial Court, especially compositions preserved in the Austrian National Library.

The members of the ensemble have received numerous awards for their international performances, including the Special Prize at the international H. I. F. Biber Competition and the KS Gabriele Sima Vocal Scholarship.
