InVent Quintet
The InVent Quintet is a young, up-and-coming wind ensemble whose members share a passion for their historical instruments – both originals and faithful replicas – and for historically informed performance practice. With great enthusiasm and a keen sense of contrasting timbres, the five musicians devote themselves to the characteristic repertoire for woodwind instruments. Their performances are characterised by lively dialogue and a playful approach to the individual characteristics of their instruments. Together, they constantly strive to create authentic, contrasting and captivating soundscapes.
The quintet was founded in 2022 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and currently consists of flutist Vicente Romero, oboist Nina Alcañiz, clarinettist Magda Peralta Lladó, horn player Milo Maestri and bassoonist Hannah Voß.
In 2025, they were awarded second prize at the International Van Wassenaer Concours Utrecht. Thanks to their rousing performance, they also won the Audience Prize and the ‘Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht Award’.
