Jean-Baptiste Nicolas

Born in 1994, Jean-Baptiste Nicolas began his musical studies with the piano and musicology. He joined the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM) in 2016, where his studies have centred on early music, ranging from research to musicological practice, and from instrumental performance to ensemble conducting.

Seeking to advance a repertoire close to his heart, he founded the Consort Musica Vera in 2017, exploring in particular the works of the Czech composer Jan Dismas Zelenka.
