Luigi de Donato

Luigi De Donato studied at the Conservatorio S. Giacomantonio in his home town of Cosenza. In 2004, he made his international breakthrough with his debuts at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro and at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He was subsequently engaged for leading roles at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale in Florence and in Bologna, as well as for a Monteverdi cycle under Attilio Cremonesi at the Grand Théâtre in Geneva. He has performed at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Theater an der Wien, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, La Scala in Milan and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. Numerous tours have taken him to Europe’s major musical venues.
