Shira Patchornik

Shira Patchornik is a 2026 Opus Klassik Award winner in the Young Artist category — chosen from among 690 applicants — and is considered one of the most exciting young sopranos of her generation. The Israeli singer pairs playful, virtuosic lightness with a sharp eye for the female characters she portrays: beautiful, quick-witted and full of spirit, as her acclaimed debut album Bella Furia shows.

Her great passion is the baroque repertoire: she won first prizes at two major baroque competitions — the Concours Corneille 2021 in Rouen and the Cesti Competition 2021 (with the audience award as well). She appears at houses such as the Bayerische Staatsoper, Komische Oper Berlin, Theater an der Wien and the National Theatre Prague, works with conductors such as Ottavio Dantone, Andrea Marcon and Pablo Heras-Casado, and performs with outstanding ensembles such as La Cetra and the CHAARTS chamber artists.
