Benedikt Sonnleitner opens the doors of his master workshop for brass instruments, offering fascinating insights behind the scenes. Why are some trumpets silver and others gold – do they sound different? And what’s the purpose of that large flared bell at the end? How can such hard metal be shaped? And how are the separate components transformed into a musical instrument? Young visitors can witness firsthand how tubes and valves are assembled with meticulous precision – every millimetre matters in the making of a trumpet.
