Privacy policy
Only the German version of this privacy policy is binding; the English translation is for information purposes only.
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik GmbH (hereinafter referred to as ‘Festwochen’). The Festwochen therefore processes your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (DSGVO, DSG, TKG 2003). This privacy policy explains the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of your personal data by the Festwochen and when you visit our websites (www.altemusik.at, www.meisterkammerkonzerte.at). Below, we would like to inform you about the most important aspects of data processing at the Festwochen, in the context of using our websites and our online services, as well as your rights.
Personal data
Personal data – which, according to the DSGVO, is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person – is only processed by us if you actively provide it to us, for example when you register with us, place an order or contact us.
Data storage
We collect, use and manage your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 DSGVO only if you have given us your consent (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO) for data processing for one or more specific purposes, or if we need your data to fulfil a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO), for example when processing card orders, or if the processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (c) DSGVO), or if we have a legitimate interest (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (e) DSGVO), for example when responding to enquiries, processing registrations or for the purpose of providing information about the programme and products of the Festwochen in accordance with our cultural policy mission.
Data use
The Festwochen uses the personal data you provide exclusively for the fulfilment of the respective processing purpose (e.g. registration, newsletter dispatch, processing of a ticket order or ticket purchase, responding to enquiries, Friends membership, Cesti competition participation, sending information material to interested parties and existing customers) and store this data for as long as required by law.
Customers
The Festwochen uses customer data to inform you about the performance you have booked, any changes to the programme or travel options, to process ticket purchases or orders, etc. The data will not be passed on to third parties for commercial use.
If the Festwochen has received your postal address or email address in connection with the purchase or ordering of a ticket, the Festwochen may also use this data for customer care and advertising purposes for the Festwochen and the Meister- und Kammerkonzerte, as well as for direct advertising for other Festwochen performances (including events of the Meister- und Kammerkonzerte), unless you have objected to such use. Such an objection is possible at any time and can be addressed to: festwochen@altemusik.at or Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik GmbH, Universitätsstraße 1, A-6020 Innsbruck. In the event of an objection, your customer data will be stored for seven years in accordance with the statutory retention obligation together with booking receipts, but will no longer be used for direct advertising.
Friends
A one-time registration is required for membership of the Freundeskreis of the Festwochen. When you register, we process your title, first name, surname, address, postcode, city, country, email address, telephone number, type of membership, date of registration and payment method. The data collected is used exclusively for the purpose of processing your membership and for advertising purposes and is stored until your membership is not renewed.
By becoming a member, you agree to receive regular information about the Freundeskreis and the Festwochen by email or post. You can revoke this consent at any time without giving reasons by letter or email (festwochen@altemusik.at).
Visitors
During an event, photos and videos may be taken and published and used for media and internal reporting, for the purpose of event documentation, and to promote events or the Festwochen or Meister- und Kammerkonzerte on the internet (e.g. website, social media channels, etc.) and in various printed materials. Visitors are usually informed of this on the website for the respective event.
Cesti Competition Participants
Personal data (name, address, date of birth, gender, email address, telephone number, photos, CV) of competition participants that is collected and required for the Cesti Competition to take place is stored by the Festwochen and processed for the purpose of running the competition. The Festwochen will only use the personal data provided by participants in their applications for the purposes of conducting the competition or, in the event of an engagement with Barockoper:Jung, for the purposes of contract execution and for its own advertising measures. Insofar as this is necessary for the implementation of the competition, the data will also be transferred to third parties who have been entrusted by the Festwochen in a permissible manner with the implementation or parts thereof, in particular to jury members.
Business partners, suppliers, journalists and media
The Festwochen processes data (name, addresses, telephone number, email address of contact persons, contract billing and payment data, information, contract master data) from business partners and suppliers for the purpose of fulfilling obligations arising from the business relationship. The data is stored for at least seven years (§ 132 BAO) and, if necessary, for 30 years (general limitation period).
The Festwochen processes data (name, telephone number, email address of contact persons, photo, press card) from journalists and the media for the purpose of public relations work for the Festwochen and the Meister- und Kammerkonzerte. The data will be stored until the basis for storage ceases to apply. The legal basis for this processing is the consent of the data subjects in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO and our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO.
Data security
In addition to complying with the principles of data protection and the obligation of our employees to maintain data confidentiality, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of data processing, i.e. the confidentiality, integrity, availability, resilience and rapid recoverability of the systems and services used.
Among other things, when you make an online booking, your personal data is encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure when it is transmitted to the Festwochen servers via our website and stored there securely. This ensures as far as possible that no unauthorised persons can use your data.
Data transfer
Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or the transfer of data is necessary to fulfil our obligations. In this case, we have entered into agreements with the contracted companies to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and the immediate deletion of data that is no longer required.
Your personal data is also processed on our behalf by our service providers (processors). These processors are, in particular, providers of internet sales (GesbR Tixly Sweden AB and Tix EU ehf, Ticket Gretchen GmbH) and payment service companies through which payments are processed for internet sales (mollie B.V.), marketing tools (Hotjar, Google Analytics), software solutions (SULU, SurveyMonkey, Zapier), website (MASSIVEART Webservices GmbH), creative and graphic design (in the headroom GmbH, Citygrafic Designoffice), IT services, postal dispatch (Mailtrans OG, Athesia-Tyrolia Druck GmbH), newsletter dispatch (Mailchimp) and other providers of similar services. All our processors process your data only on our behalf and on the basis of our instructions for the purposes described above. Furthermore, we ensure through contractual obligations that our processors comply with the provisions of data protection laws in the same way as we do. The data is processed exclusively within the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Contact
If you contact us by email, fax, telephone or in writing, the data and information you provide will be used exclusively for the purpose of processing your enquiry. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
Ticket purchase
We use the information you provide when purchasing tickets for events to perform and process the contractual service and to fulfil the associated legal obligations. To purchase tickets online via the web shop or app, you must first register. You can also use your account for other orders later on. You can view or change your data at any time after logging in again. To register, we require your email address, title, first and last name, postal address, date of birth, payment details and telephone number. This data is used to identify you when you log in to your account, to issue and, if necessary, send you tickets, and to process payments. We require your telephone number so that we can contact you as quickly as possible in the event of queries or changes to performances. Additional voluntary information helps us to provide you with the best possible service. If you specify a reason for a discount when purchasing tickets, we will store this information so that we can verify your eligibility for the discount when you attend the event.
Ticket purchases in the web shop are handled by GesbR Tixly Sweden AB, 559109-3181, Kungsgatan 41, SWE-411 15 Gothenburg, and Tix EU ehf, Hallgerðargata 13, 6th floor, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland, or as an application (app) via Ticket Gretchen GmbH, Herrengasse 5/2/7, 1010 Vienna (‘third-party provider’). The catering web shop is operated as a third-party provider via JetTicket Software GmbH, Spitalstraße 5, 7350 Oberpullendorf. Any data you provide when purchasing a ticket will be processed by the third-party provider in accordance with their terms and conditions. The Festwochen cannot accept any responsibility or liability for the third-party provider and hereby exclude this entirely.
Newsletter
On our website, you have the option of subscribing to our free newsletter. To do so, we need your email address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. The double opt-in procedure is used for registration. When you subscribe to the newsletter, you will receive a confirmation email from us at the email address you provided. By clicking on the confirmation link contained in the email, you will receive regular, personalised information about events, concerts, offers, services and news from the Festwochen (including the Meister- und Kammerkonzerte). This ensures that only the authorised user of the email address provided can subscribe to the newsletter.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address, your IP address and the date and time of your subscription in order to provide you with targeted information. The data collected will be used exclusively for sending our newsletter and will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. In order to improve our offer for you, we record the opening and clicking behaviour in relation to the newsletter for statistical purposes.
You can revoke your consent at any time without giving reasons. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter via a link at the end of each newsletter or by sending a message to festwochen@altemusik.at. After unsubscribing from the newsletter, the user's personal data will be immediately deleted from the newsletter distribution list or the data will be deactivated to prevent a new, erroneous registration.
Access data/server log files (website visitors)
When you visit the website, information is automatically sent from your device to our website and temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The Festwochen collects and logs access data and server log files exclusively for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security, improving user-friendliness and optimising the online offering. This access data includes the name of the website accessed, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type/version/language, the user's operating system, the referrer URL (the previously visited website), the IP address, the duration of the visit and the requesting provider. This data is not assigned to specific individuals. This data is not merged with other data sources. The data is stored until it is automatically deleted after 6 months. The data is only passed on and subsequently checked on the basis of specific indications if there is justified suspicion of illegal use.
Cookies
This website uses tracking technology (so-called ‘cookies’). Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of your browser. These text files are stored for different lengths of time – either as so-called ‘session cookies’ or so-called ‘persistent cookies’. Session cookies are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit. Cookies do not cause any damage and cannot contain viruses or other dangerous programs. The cookies used on our website serve exclusively to optimise the user-friendliness and security of this website.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. The legal basis for data processing in the context of cookies is the user's consent via the cookie banner. Please note that if you deactivate cookies, some functions of the website may be restricted or unavailable. For a better user experience of the website, we therefore recommend that you activate cookies.
Use of social plugins (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram)
This website uses so-called social plugins (‘plugins’) from the social networks Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. These services are offered by Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, and Instagram Inc., 181 South Park Street Suite 2 San Francisco, CA 94107 USA (hereinafter referred to as ‘providers’).
The plugins are marked with the respective logo. Social media plugins are so-called interfaces to social networks and when visiting the website, the system automatically establishes a connection to the respective social network due to the integration of the plugins and transfers the data (IP address, visit to the website, etc.). The data transfer takes place without the intervention and outside the responsibility of the operator.
The user can prevent this data transfer by logging out of the respective social networks before visiting the website. The automatically transferred data is used exclusively by the operators of the social networks and not by the operator of this website (Festwochen).
When you use the services as a customer, the website establishes a direct connection to the provider's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from the provider to the website and integrated into the website. By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that the user has accessed the website. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to their Facebook account. If the user interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the ‘Like’ button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from the website to Facebook and stored there. This allows Facebook to associate the visit to our website with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the website, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to be able to assign your visit to our website to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's privacy policy. Further information on this can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
We use components from YouTube to embed videos on our website. The videos are embedded in the ‘extended privacy mode’ provided by YouTube. This means that information about your visit to the website is only stored when you actually watch a video. We have no influence on any further data processing by YouTube. If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, this information will be assigned to your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging out of your member account before visiting our website. Further information on the collection and use of your data by YouTube can be found at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/intl/de/yt/about/policies/.
Hotjar
This website uses Hotjar, a tool for analysing your user behaviour on our website. The provider is Hotjar Ltd., Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europe (website: https://www.hotjar.com).
Hotjar allows us to record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. Hotjar can also determine how long you have remained with the mouse pointer on a specific spot. Hotjar uses this information to create so-called heat maps, which can be used to determine which areas of the website are preferred by website visitors. Furthermore, we can determine how long you remained on a page and when you left it. We can also determine at which point you cancelled your entries in a contact form (so-called conversion funnels). In addition, Hotjar can be used to obtain direct feedback from website visitors. This function serves to improve the website operator's web offerings. Hotjar also uses cookies (see section on cookies).
The use of Hotjar and the storage of Hotjar cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its web offering and its advertising.
Deactivating Hotjar: If you wish to deactivate data collection by Hotjar, click on the following link and follow the instructions there: https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out. Please note that Hotjar must be deactivated separately for each browser or device.
For more information about Hotjar and the data collected, please refer to Hotjar's privacy policy at the following link: https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy/
Web analysis (Google Analytics)
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. The transfer of personal data to the United States is subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
However, if IP anonymisation (‘anonymizeIp’) is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code ‘gat._anonymizeIp();’ in order to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
For more information on terms of use and data protection, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
Google Remarketing
The Festwochen uses Google Remarketing technology, a service provided by Google Inc. This feature allows us to target you as a website visitor with advertising by displaying personalised, interest-based ads when you visit other websites in the Google or DoubleClick display network. Google uses cookies, which are stored on your computer, to evaluate your website usage, demographic characteristics and interests. Google uses cookies, which are stored on your computer, to analyse your website usage, which is a prerequisite for the use of interest-based advertisements. The information generated by the cookie is transmitted to a Google server, stored there and can be evaluated by the Festwochen in the context of statistics and used to create interest-based advertisements. Google may transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. The collection and storage of data can be revoked at any time with future effect. You can deactivate the use of cookies by Google by visiting the website for deactivating Google advertising here. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative here. Further information on Google's privacy policy can be found here.
This web analytics service serves to further improve, develop and optimise the Festwochen's online offering. For this purpose, only non-personal data is used for analysis and reporting, which is not merged with other personal data by the Festwochen.
By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by this web analytics service in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
Facebook remarketing & custom audience
Remarketing tags from the social network Facebook are integrated into this website. When you visit our website, the remarketing tags establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This provides Facebook with the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our website with your user account. We can use the information obtained in this way to display Facebook ads. Please note that, as the provider of this website, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. Further information on this can be found in Facebook's privacy policy.
The Festwochen also uses Facebook's ‘Custom Audience’ technology, a service provided by Facebook Ireland Limited Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 Ireland. The data collected through the integration of cookies, web beacons or similar third-party technologies allows us to measure and design our advertising activities on Facebook more effectively and, for example, to display posts or advertisements only to visitors to our website. We only use cookies, web beacons and similar, proven and widely used third-party technologies to collect this data. The data collected in this process is only transmitted to Facebook in encrypted form. Any personal data relating to individual users is anonymised and cannot be viewed by us. Further information on this can be found here in Facebook's privacy policy. If you do not want data to be collected via ‘Custom Audience’, you can deactivate ‘Custom Audience’ here: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads.
Integration of third-party services and content
Third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps or graphics from other websites, may be integrated into the Festwochen's online offering. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as ‘third-party providers’) perceive the IP address of the users in order to send content to the browser of the respective user. The Festwochen endeavours to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of content. However, the Festwochen has no influence on whether the respective third-party provider stores the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Please therefore inform yourself about the data protection guidelines of the respective third-party provider.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have the following rights:
- Right to information about the personal data processed and the purpose of the processing upon request within one month (Art. 15 GDPR),
- Right to rectification in the event of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- right to object to processing based on public interest or our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR),
- right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) and
- right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
Consent can be revoked at any time and without justification by emailing festwochen@altemusik.at. Notwithstanding the deletion information provided for individual data processing operations, deletion will not take place if the personal data to be deleted is used for other lawful processing operations (e.g. self-promotion) in accordance with this privacy policy or applicable laws.
To protect your rights and privacy, we are entitled to request proof of identity in case of doubt.
If you exercise any of the above rights in an obviously unfounded manner or particularly frequently, we are entitled to charge a reasonable processing fee or to refuse to process the request.
Changes to the privacy policy
The current version of the privacy policy applies. The Festwochen reserves the right to change the privacy policy (e.g. due to changes in legal regulations, the use of new technologies, the expansion of our offers and services, etc.). We therefore recommend that you review this privacy policy regularly.
As of: February 2025
Only the German version of this privacy policy is binding; the English translation is for information purposes only.
