Acanthus Baroque

Founded in 2021, the ensemble brings together recorder player Magdalena Spielmann, violinist Christophe Mourault, harpsichordist Sobin Jo and cellist Szczepan Dembiński, who met whilst studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Pôle Alienor in Poitiers, France.

Their main focus is on introducing the extensive – and in some cases little-known – repertoire of Baroque instrumental music featuring the recorder to a wider audience.
