Gala on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Cesti Competition: the winners of three Competitions come together in the Spanish Hall to sing music dramatic arias and scenes from the 17th and 18th centuries. The careers of the three «Cesti winners» are impressive: Swiss soprano Marie Lys, winner in 2018, has sung at the Göttingen International Handel Festival, the London Handel Festival and the Bury Court Opera. The Anglo-French mezzo-soprano Emilie Renard, winner of the 2013 Competiton, will perform instead of Emily D’Angelo, who had to cancel her appearance at short notice. Renard already thrilled the Innsbruck audience in Porporas „Il Germanico“ and in Stradellas oratorio „San Giovanni Battista“. Australian baritone Morgan Pearse, winner of the 2016 Competition, has launched a fast-paced international career, which has already taken him to the Karlsruhe Handel Festival and the Sydney Opera House. In 2017, he delighted the Innsbruck audience in the Baroque Opera:Young as Nero in Keiser’s «Octavia».
