Born in Huesca (Spain), since his debut tenor Jorge Franco has sung in the main opera houses, auditoriums and festivals in Spain and Portugal where he has debuted the leading roles in titles such as Il Viaggio a Reims (Luigino), Le nozze di Figaro, La scala di seta (Dorvil), La fille du regiment (Tonio), Rigoletto (Borsa), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Il conte Almaviva), Die Zauberflöte (Tamino), La Cenerentola (Don Ramiro), Don Pasquale (Ernesto), Rinaldo de Handel, Lucrezia Borgia, L'isola disabitata by Manuel García and, in the zarzuela repertoire, Maruxa by Antonio Vives.

In these years, he has worked with teachers and stage directors such as Emilio Sagi or Paul Curran, among others.

In oratorio and concert he has performed Mozart's Coronation Mass and Requiem, the latter in various auditoriums in Valencia, Rossini's Small Solemn Mass and Stabat Mater, Bach's Magnificat and Christmas Oratorio, Handel's Messiah in the Zaragoza Auditorium and the Huesca Congress Palace, and the Creole Mass of Ramírez, among others.

Among his recent performances are Macbeth (Malcolm), L'incoronazione di Poppea with Leonardo García Alarcón, Ariodante (Odoardo) with Andrea Marcon, Anna Bolena (Harvey) and Un avvertimento ai gelosi (Ripaverde) at the Palau de Les Arts; Rigoletto, Lucrezia Borgia and Rinaldo at the Tenerife Opera; Lucia di Lammermoor in Zaragoza and Haydn's Stabat Mater in Palma.

His upcoming engagements include Die Zauberflöte at Les Arts, Dido, Königin von Carthago with La Cetra Barockorchester and Andrea Marcon at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik and Mitridate at the Teatro Real, among others.
