Neima Fischer

Neima Fischer -c- Pierre Fischer 3_zugeschnitten

The Franco-German soprano Neima Fischer is the winner of the Cesti Competition at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music 2023. She is studying for her Bachelor's degree in singing under Prof. Sabine Ritterbusch and Prof. Anne Champert at the Hannover University of Music, as well as at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris.

She began her musical career at the age of seven in the girls' choir of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin under the direction of Prof. Friederike Stahmer, as well as on the violin. She therefore discovered her passion for music at an early age and was able to work with other musicians and ensembles at a young age. She began her studies in Hanover in 2020 and was able to gain experience on the opera stage there in the title role of "Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern" (Lachenmann), as Amor in "Orfeo, L'inferno dentro me" under the direction of Roman Hovenbitzer, as Columbine in "Pierrot Lunaire – Mondsüchtig" under the direction of Mascha Poerzgen, as Sandrina in "La finta giardiniera" under the direction of Christian Carsten and as Zaïde in Mozart's eponymous Singspiel.

Neima Fischer has established herself as a soloist in the field of concert and oratorio through her active concert work. Despite her young age, she has already performed in major roles, such as soprano in J. S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio, St. John Passion and W. A. Mozart's Requiem, as Pleasure in G. F. Handel's "The Choice of Hercules", in César Franck's "Les Béatitudes" or as Belinda in Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas". At the 2023 Cesti International Competition for Baroque Opera, she won not only the young talent prize but also a special prize in the form of an engagement with Il Gusto Barocco. Neima is also a scholarship holder of Yehudi Meuhin Live Music Now Hannover e. V.
In November 2023, Neima went on a concert tour to Turkmenistan as part of the cultural exchange between Europe and Central Asia. There she sang the world premiere of the Concerto "Murmures Célestes et Marins" by the French composer Pierre Thilloy with the Turkmen National Orchestra.

Her repertoire also includes roles such as Blonde in "The Abduction from the Seraglio" (Mozart), Olympia in "The Tales of Hoffmann" (Offenbach), Juliette in "Roméo et Juliette" (Gounod), Morgana in "Alcina" and Arianna in "Arianna in Creta" (both Handel). In August 2024, she will also make her debut in the latter role at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music.
