There will be a double farewell at the night-time concert in the Hofkirche (Court Church) – firstly, we will be saying goodbye to the official part of the 45th Innsbruck Festival of Early Music and secondly to a group of creative minds: the ensemble I Barocchisti. Since being founded by Diego Fasolis, it has provided numerous magical moments on the most important concert stages in Europe, often in collaboration with the Coro della Radiotelevisione svizzera (Choir of Radio and Television of Italian-speaking Switzerland), but now it is facing the premature end of its success story due to expiring funding contracts.
The "Baroque Artists" will perform the “Messa de' Morti” in C minor by Francesco Durante, ranging from theatrical to poignantly simple, and all this against the imposing backdrop of the cenotaph of Emperor Maximilian I.
