Soprano Benedetta Zanotto started playing violin and piano at a very young age and obtained a Diploma in violin at the Castelfranco Veneto Conservatory. Later she got passionate in Baroque singing and joined Monica Piccinini’s class at Rovigo Conservatory, where she is finishing her Master’s Degree. She attended masterclasses with Emma Kirkby, Roberta Invernizzi, Sonia Tedla and Veronica Cangemi.
In 2024 she was a finalist of the prestigious Froville Baroque Singing Competition, as well as the ‘Fatima Terzo’ Baroque Singing Competition in Vicenza.
In the 24-25 season she will be making her debut in three operatic productions: as a soloist in Vivaldi’s ‘Il Giustino’ at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik and in Cavalli’s ‘Ercole Amante’ at the Monteverdi Festival in Cremona; and in the choir of Rameau’s ‘Castor et Pollux’ at Paris Opera Garnier.
She regularly sings with vocal ensembles as Utopia (conducted by Teodor Currentzis), La Cetra (Andrea Marcon), Coro Ghislieri (Giulio Prandi), Ensemble Correspondances (Sébastien Daucé), Cremona Antiqua (Antonio Greco) and Coro FVG.
She performed in theatres and festivals in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Austria, notably in Paris Opera, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Philharmonie Berlin, De Singel, Palau de la Música de Valencia, Monteverdi Festival, Salzburger Festspiele, Teatro La Fenice, Auditorium de Radio France, Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, Les Musicales du Luberon, Musikpodium Venedig-Dresden, Risonanze Festival, Trame Sonore and Stradella Festival.
Benedetta Zanotto holds a double degree in Art Market at IULM University in Milan and IESA in Paris.
